Today's Video Focus:  Three police officers caught on video bashing a man during a welfare check in 2017 have escaped conviction, instead facing fines for the attack on the man at his home in Preston. Officers John Edney, 30, Florian Hilgart, 42, and Brad McLeod, 35, were found guilty of assault last week and have each agreed to a good behaviour bond for 12 months.

Health workers there have called on the International Criminal Court to investigate President Bolsanaro’s government. They accuse it of crimes against humanity over its mishandling of the pandemic, which they say has led to thousands of unnecessary deaths.



Focus of the Day Article:  Over the past three months, independent charity Crimestoppers has received a record number of reports from the public across Scotland on domestic abuse, drug dealing and child harm and neglect. In response to lockdown across Scotland, the charity ran a series of public awareness campaigns to highlight the increased risk of harm and abuse some people would experience.
