Today's Highlighted Video Story: India’s Supreme Court has declined to legalise same-sex marriages but said the rights of LGBTQ+ people must be upheld. Five judges ruled they could not legalise such unions, which they said was parliament's job. In 2018, the Supreme Court had decriminalised gay sex in a landmark ruling. But the ultra-conservative right-wing government and Hindu religious leaders strongly opposed same-sex marriage, claiming it was against India's culture.

Focus of the Day Legal News: Nearly 30% of firms probed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) for their adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) rules in the last year were non-compliant, new figures have shown. Full story - Legal Futures
