Today's Video Focus: Northern Territory Police were called to respond to a major disturbance at Darwin's Don Dale youth detention centre on Tuesday night where a fire later broke out. The facility was surrounded by emergency crews, including ambulance officers and firefighters who were called out to the incident just before 7:00pm. A Northern Territory Hazardous Chemicals vehicle also attended the scene. A number of detainees were seen on the roof earlier in the evening, with what appeared to be smoke visible at the entry of the centre. By 10:00pm two buildings appeared to be ablaze. Just after midnight, multiple detainees were seen being escorted from the facility in police vehicles.


Focus of the Day Article:
The only female Afghan-born barrister practising in England and Wales revealed yesterday that she had been asked by a solicitor to return her brief because the client wanted “a white male barrister”.
Lawyers on Twitter exploded with anger after Rehana Popal of 10 King’s Bench Walk tweeted what had happened.
