Today's video story: India is a vast and complex country with many languages. The ongoing demonstrations by farmers from Tamil Nadu at Jantar Mantar in Delhi in an attempt to bring their drought woes to the attention of the Centre.  How does one raise her/his voice to be able to get the attention of those who don't understand the language? The farmers from Tamil Nadu do not know any language other than their native Tamil language. However, they are under the compulsion to highlight their concerns to the media and government in the capital where only Hindi and English are understood by most people.


Focus of the day story:  Tax credit ‘rape clause’ becomes law without parliamentary vote. The controversial move, which requires woman who had third child as result of rape to verify her position, added to existing act. Full story - Guardian Law
