 Today's Highlighted Video Story: Widespread confusion and accusations the Australia government has lost control were a plenty after a vote in the lower house to debate a bill to establish a federal integrity commission was narrowly defeated on a technicality. 66 Lower House MPs voted in favour of debating Helen Haines' bill with 64 opposing. But standing orders require an absolute majority of 76 and, with some members not in the house because of COVID restrictions, it failed.
