Today's Video Focus:  TikTok is threatening legal action against the US after Donald Trump ordered firms to stop doing business with the Chinese app within 45 days. The company said it was "shocked" by an executive order from the US President outlining the ban. TikTok said it would "pursue all remedies available" to "ensure the rule of law is not discarded". Mr Trump issued a similar order against China's WeChat in a major escalation in Washington's stand-off with Beijing.



Focus of the Day Article:  Scotland’s impotent fatal accident inquiry system has been condemned by families who have lost loved ones in tragic accidents. Today's Video Focus:  Anti-government protests continue in the Lebanon's capital that was rocked by deadly port blasts. On Saturday, protesters demanding the government’s resignation on Martyr’s Square clashed with riot police and reportedly entered a number of governmental buildings. A police officer was killed during clashes, confirmed a police spokesperson, and hundreds of people were treated for injuries in the city’s hospitals. Earlier on Sunday, Lebanon's information minister Manal Abdel Samad became the first government official to resign in the aftermath of the deadly Beirut port blasts.

Today's Video Focus:  The Saudi crown prince is accused of dispatching a group of hitmen to kill a former top Saudi intelligence official - Saad al-Jabari - who is in exile in Canada. The allegation was made in a lawsuit filed by al-Jabari in Washington, DC. The hitmen were allegedly sent by Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) just days after journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018. They failed to get past the borders at Toronto's airport, but the lawsuit alleges al-Jabari's life remains in "dire peril". Al-Jabari is seeking damages from MBS for allegedly orchestrating an "attempted extrajudicial killing" and for violating international law.
