Today's video story: Bangladesh's leather tanneries are a billion dollar industry and a major employer in the country. But they're among the most polluted places on earth. After years of delays the Bangladeshi Supreme Court has now ordered the closure of 155 factories.
 

Focus of the day story:   Sentencing guidelines are to be amended to reflect the terminology shift from domestic ’violence’ to domestic ‘abuse’ under wide-ranging proposals unveiled. The Sentencing Council has revisited existing guidance covering domestic violence to reflect changes in terminology, expert thinking and societal attitudes over the past decade. Megan Clark, 19, was raped by a man she met in Burger King when she was drunk after a night out in Manchester. The trial sparked controversy after the judge said the drunken behaviour of some women was putting them at risk.

Some were conscripted into the Indonesian military; others taken by religious groups or state institutions. Indonesia calls them the "separated children" and denies they were taken by force. Now a local NGO is taking them back to East Timor - now an independent nation - for the first time.

Some 55% of legal professionals are dissatisfied with pay, according to the Hays Legal UK Salary Guide 2017. Today's video story: Several opposition rallies, most of which were unsanctioned, took place in Russia on Sunday. A number of people were detained for disorderly conduct. Opposition figure Aleksey Navalny is among those detained in central Moscow. Navalny called on his supporters to protest on Sunday, weeks after releasing a report on the alleged corruption of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. He accused the head of the Russian government of personal enrichment through embezzlement.
