Today's video story: Earlier this month Pakistan's Council of Islamic Ideology made a recommendation saying that a man could "lightly" beat his wife. Although not legally binding, the proposal sparked outrage in Pakistan. Campaigners say that at a time when violence against women is rampant in Pakistani society this so-called women's protection bill encourages men to abuse their wives. Shaimaa Khalil spoke to the head of the council, to ask him why he had made such a proposal.
