George Floyd died after a white police officer knelt on his neck during an arrest, his struggle to breath caught on camera by an onlooker. The four officers involved in the incident have been sacked and the mayor of Minneapolis has called for calm.
Focus of the Day Article: Criminal defence firms could go out of business if more jury trials are not held, a managing partner has said. The warning comes as the chair of the Criminal Bar Association highlighted the extraordinary amount of planning that has gone into starting a small number of jury trials during the Covid-19 pandemic.
