Focus of the Day Article: In 1998, people across the island of Ireland overwhelmingly endorsed the Good Friday Agreement, in a historic decision which signalled hope for a post-sectarian, post-conflict future. The UK Parliament responded to this popular mandate by returning devolution to Northern Ireland. For weeks, the police have been accused of heavy-handedness during protests, though authorities say the use of water cannon and tear gas is to restore order as tensions escalate. But the family of a young father who was shot dead by police say they are still fighting for justice.

Focus of the Day Article:  Research into fast-track and multi-track civil claims has revealed a patchwork of bottlenecks and delays across England and Wales.
