 Today's Highlighted Video Story:  MPs have launched a blistering attack on the social media giant Google for failing to tackle online fraud. A member of the Treasury Select Committee accused Google of profiting from advertising fraud. Google says it's doing everything it can to stem the problems. But today the banking industry warned fraud was a threat to national security.  

Focus of the Day Story:  Probate practitioners have called for legislative change to help families access the 'digital assets' of relatives who have died. A study by STEP – a professional body for inheritance planning advisers – and Queen Mary University of London found that there is a lack of clarity around property rights relating to digital assets.  Today's Highlighted Video Story:  A third Russian man has been charged with alleged involvement in the Novichok nerve agent poisonings in Salisbury, England in 2018, which left one woman dead and three people critically ill.  Security sources say Denis Sergeev led the team on the ground, when the nerve agent was used against the former Russian spy Sergei Scripal.

 Today's Highlighted Video Story:  Amid those ongoing concerns about cladding, a recent tower block fire in Milan has raised fresh concern about unsafe buildings. The fire at the 18-storey block has been likened to Grenfell by the city's mayor. We travelled to Milan with some of those who lost loved ones in the Grenfell fire - and while we were there we also took a look at a more unusual building that could offer an idea for a memorial.

 Today's Highlighted Video Story:  An 89-year-old woman who died after complications from a broken hip had accused a fellow resident of her Canberra aged care home of pushing her over, the ACT Supreme Court has heard. Mario Amato, 61, went on trial today in the ACT Supreme Court, after he pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of Sheila Marie Capper, who died in December 2018. Today the court was shown video footage taken within the Campbell nursing home of Mrs Capper being propelled through the doorway of a laundry, onto the floor.

Focus of the Day Story: General counsel and a City firm have come under repeated criticism in a damning report into governance issues at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. An independent report by Alison Levitt QC found that the outcome of an internal governance review conducted in 2019 had already been decided before it was commissioned. Levitt concluded that the RICS general counsel, who was unnamed, had wrongly outsourced the review to Fieldfisher LLP, where she used to work, and that the firm took a ‘partisan approach’ against four non-executive members of the RICS board without any objective analysis.
