 Today's Highlighted Video Story: Federal prosecutors investigating Rudy Giuliani, former Trump lawyer, have seized material from a wider array of individuals than previously disclosed, including messages from email and iCloud accounts they believe belong to two former Ukrainian government officials, as well as the cell phone and iPad of a pro-Trump Ukrainian businessman, according to a court document unsealed Tuesday.

 Today's Highlighted Video Story: International sanctions have been imposed on Belarus, after a Ryanair passenger jet was forced to divert and land there, so the authorities could arrest a journalist on board. Roman Protasevich, 26, is a journalist and blogger and a well-known critic of the Belarusian head of state President Lukashenko. The Ryanair flight was on its way from Athens to Vilnius in Lithuania, when it was intercepted by a fighter jet and forced to divert to Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Mr Protasevich and his girlfriend were arrested.

 Today's Highlighted Video Story: As the US military packs up to leave Afghanistan after nearly 20 years of war, it has destroyed its equipment so it can only be used by local scrapyards – and not by militants. Scrapyard and iron warehouse owners were seen looking through piles of scrap metal outside Bagram Airfield. They buy the scrap from the US military and sell it on at their own warehouses. Although the US clearly believes in the phrase ‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,’ many scrapyard owners have lamented the disassembly of equipment as an enormous waste, as both parties could have made significantly more money by selling the equipment intact.

YZ, R (on the application of) v Chief Constable of South Wales Police (Rev 1) [2021] EWHC 1060 (30 April 2021). The claimant YZ had been acquitted on three counts raping his former wife but details concerning these matters remain on the Police National Computer (PNC).  Today's Highlighted Video Story: India's CBI has given a clean chit in a bribery case to former railway minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is out on bail since April after spending more than three years in jail, sources have said. The Economic Offence Branch of CBI, as per sources, in January, 2018, had started a preliminary probe against him and real estate developer DLF Group over alleged corruption.
