Today's Highlighted Video Story: Joe Biden is now projected to have 290 Electoral College votes, the Associated Press (AP) news agency said on Saturday, above the threshold needed to clinch the hard-fought United States presidential election. The president-elect was projected to have surpassed the 270 electoral vote threshold after the AP called Pennsylvania in his favour. Shortly after that, AP also called Nevada for Biden.

 Focus of the Day Legal Article:  Housing possession proceedings will not be suspended during the four-week lockdown that begins on Thursday, HM Courts & Tribunals Service has said. The government suspended possession proceedings in March when the country first went into lockdown. The stay was lifted on 20 September. Full story - The Law Society Gazette

Today's Highlighted Video Story: The UK's terror threat level has been raised to "severe" - meaning an attack on British soil is highly likely. The Home Secretary Priti Patel described it as a precautionary measure, after a series of attacks in Europe - including last night’s attack in Vienna when a gunman shot four people dead and injured more than 20 others.  The suspect - a 20 year old Islamist extremist, who'd been jailed for trying to join the militant IS group in Syria - was eventually shot dead by police.
