Today's Highlighted Video Story: The Tasmanian government has released its draft legislation to ban conversion practices — treatment that attempts to change a person's sexual orientation based on the belief that orientations other than heterosexual are mental disorders. LGBTQIA+ advocates say the legislation contains too many loopholes, and will not prevent the conversion practices from occurring.

Focus of the Day Legal News:  Campaigners lobbying against what they call a ‘predatory claims culture’ have called for tighter regulation of the term ‘no win, no fee’ in advertisements. A report by a group called Fair Civil Justice (FCJ) said that consumers are increasingly exposed to ‘widespread and targeted’ advertisements from claimant firms.
