They're investigating a 43-year-old german national on suspicion of murder. While Madeleine's parents have welcomed this 'significant devlopment', they remain hopeful their daughter's still alive.


Focus of the Day Article: Long-practising barrister has been fined £1,000 for being rude to a judge, after pulling faces at her and calling one of her decisions ‘insane’. Marguerite Russell, who was called to the bar in 1972, was found to have acted in a ‘rude and unprofessional manner’ towards the judge over a three-month period in 2016 while instructed as counsel for the defence. As they approach Persian new year, usually a time of family reunion, the couple find hope and happiness in the traditional rituals that mark the spring equinox.
