Today's Video Focus: MPs have joined calls for the Jeremy Kyle Show to be taken off air for good, after the death of a man shortly after he appeared on the programme. Steven Dymond was found dead last week, following a recording. Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious. In an internal email, the ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall said the decision to suspend the show was "the best way" to protect it and its staff. But Downing Street said broadcasters and production companies had a responsibility towards the mental health and wellbeing of participants and viewers.


Focus of the Day Article:
A new campaign, #SupportingSolicitors, has been launched to promote the help available to solicitors facing professional and personal challenges. It goes live today at the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. It has been put together jointly by the Law Society, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, wellbeing charity LawCare, SBA The Solicitors’ Charity – which supports those in serious financial need with grants – and the Solicitors Assistance Scheme, a service best known for helping those facing disciplinary and regulatory issues.

But aviation emissions contribute to climate change, and scientists say we need to do more to tackle the problem. BBC research has found that only a tiny fraction of passengers travelling with the world's biggest airlines are choosing to offset their carbon footprints. Carbon offset schemes involve paying extra in order to contribute to environmental projects that reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, though some say it's just an excuse to continue polluting. But it's not the only way to reduce the impact of your flight on the planet.

Fully-video court hearings for domestic abuse cases are being piloted at Manchester and Birmingham Civil Justice Centres. While video technology is used widely in courts, it usually links just one person into a physical courtroom. With fully video hearings, all parties appear by video. Vulnerable people can appear before the court using a video link from a computer in their solicitor’s office, saving them the distress of appearing in court at what is likely to be a traumatic time.
