Today's Highlighted Video Story: The BBC's director general Tim Davie who has had strong Conservative party links and is a government favoured appointee said, it had been a "difficult day" for the corporation after a Match of the Day staff walk-out led to the programme going ahead with no commentary and without pundits. Presenters and commentators walked out in support of Gary Lineker, who was suspended from the show after taking to Twitter to criticise the UK government's extremist asylum policy.
