 Today's Highlighted Video Story: UK-based pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca insisted on Friday its coronavirus vaccine was safe, after some countries suspended its use in response to concerns about a potential link to blood clots. "An analysis of our safety data of more than 10 million records has shown no evidence of an increased risk of pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrombosis in any defined age group, gender, batch or in any particular country" from the jab, a company spokesperson said.

Focus of the Day Article: A High Court judge has refused to grant a solicitor a permanent injunction to enforce undertakings made by the son of a client that he would stop making defamatory statements. Mrs Justice Collins Rice said photojournalist turned gardener Charles Pycraft accused Lance Ranger of fraud, theft, money laundering and being a “modern-day grave robber” in the way he handled his father’s estate. However Mrs Ratcliffe, who has British-Iranian dual nationality, has been told she will have to go to court in a week’s time to face more charges, according to her lawyer. The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said she should be released “permanently” so that she can be re-united with her family in the UK.
