Focus of the Day Law Article: A sheriff has been criticised by judges for conducting a “cross-examination” of a defendant and telling his representative to “sit down”. Adnan Ahmed had been convicted at Glasgow Sheriff Court of threatening and abusive behaviour towards five women. He would film himself approaching them and asking them out and had been jailed for two years. His conviction has now been quashed by judges in the Appeal Court of the High Court of Justiciary. Today's Highlighted Video Story:  An investigation has found that Russian oligarch, Roman Abramovich, controls companies that have donated $100m to an Israeli settler organisation.  Elad operates in occupied East Jerusalem. By allowing settlement activity in the area Israel is considered to be in breach of international law. Israel disputes this view. Analysis of the bank documents leaked to Buzzfeed News who shared them with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and the BBC has revealed that Chelsea football club owner, Abramovich, is the biggest single donor to the organisation.

Today's Highlighted Video Story:  As word of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death spread on Friday, tributes quickly poured in from celebrities, athletes, and Democrats and Republicans alike. Donald Trump said Ginsburg, who died at age 87 of complications from metastatic pancreas cancer, "was an amazing woman" who "led an amazing life".
