Today's Video Focus: Chickens, ducks, donkeys and a mini shopping village. Definitely not your usual prison – but HMP Foston Hall in Derbyshire is trying something different to help rehabilitate those serving time. The women’s jail is running a unique project to build and run pop-up shops within the confine, aimed at preparing prisoners mentally to cope with normal life on release, and to gain the right skills to get employment.


 
Focus of the Day Article:
The Law Society receives around £30m each year from the practising certificate and turnover fees paid by each solicitor and regulated legal business. This money is used to fund the trade association activities that the Law Society focuses on. It explains its core focus as supporting its members but perhaps solicitors should be asking if it is really acting in their interests all the time?
