Aney drove to Raj Bhavan this morning and handed over his resignation to Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, an official said. "Shreehari Aney has submitted his resignation to the Governor. Whether to accept it or not, is his (Governor's) prerogative," an official from the Governor's office said. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to make a statement on the issue in the state Legislature. #India

The president of the Law Society has stated that artificial intelligence (AI) will not make the solicitor profession redundant, despite predictions that robot lawyers will dominate the legal services market in the decades to come.The advertising watchdog has banned two online ads for bank refund claims which made unsubstantiated promises about compensation. The Advertising Standards Authority today upheld complaints about two separate claims firms following challenges from the Lloyds Banking Group.
