Focus of the Day Legal Article: Opposition parties at Holyrood are considering attempting to force a no-confidence vote in the Lord Advocate, James Wolffe QC. The move comes after the Scottish government refused to publish legal advice given to it by Mr Wolffe on the judicial review of its investigation into complaints against former first minister, Alex Salmond. Today's Highlighted Video Story: The UK has become the first country in Europe to pass 50,000 coronavirus deaths, according to the latest government figures. As of 11 Novemeber, a total of 50,365 people have died within 28 days of a positive Covid test, up 595 in the past 24 hours. The UK is the fifth country to pass 50,000 deaths, coming after the US, Brazil, India and Mexico.
