FOCUS OF THE DAY:  The Law Society of Ireland has confirmed that English and Welsh solicitors will still be able to register to practise in Ireland as the profession steps up its preparations for Brexit. Catherine Dixon, chief executive of the Law Society of England and Wales, made the announcement at today’s meeting of the society’s council amid reports of a growing number of solicitors seeking dual-qualification in Ireland to ensure access to the European courts.
